On Saturday, October 17th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton, PA invites you to the show of your nightmares, NIGHTMARE NIGHT, featuring a spookily whimsical family-friendly classic followed by one of the most terrifying films of the 80s!It’s Jack Skellington vs. Freddy in a 35mm showdown on the big, BIG screen, plus a Trunk-Or-Treat before showtime to fill your bellies with all kinds of sweet treats, and show off your trunkular decorating prowess!
The evening begins with a nightmare….of holiday cheer and chills! Henry Selick’s classic stop-motion animated adventure THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (1993), written and produced by Tim Burton, weaves Christmas and Halloween together into a musical fantasy family favorite sure to give goosebumps, be it from fright or frost, with a musical score and lead performance by Danny Elfman!
Once you’ve fed your fears with terrifyingly tasty snack bar goodies, and the kiddies are asleep (or have fled the lot), it’s time for one of the scariest films of all time!
Wes Craven’s A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET hit screens in 1984 and introduced Freddy Krueger to the world, a razor-gloved serial killer who haunts the nightmares of the children of Elm Street. The film shocked audiences and a new titan of terror and cultural phenomenon was born!
Featuring Heather Langenkamp, Johnny Depp and Amanda Wyss at the terrified teens, John Saxon, Ronee Blakely and Lin Shaye as the adults who know more about Freddy than their kids realize, and Robert Englund as Freddy!
