PUF has teamed up with All Saints Church in Fishponds for this Halloween special! There’s more than one side to any story, so for this talk we have two presenters - Revd Lizzie Kesteven: Vicar and Priest in Charge at All Saints Church, Fishponds and Dr Mark Neath: humanist, regular PUF presenter (and esteemed former vice Chancellor). It’s no coincidence that the talk is taking place just before All Hallow’s Eve (the day before All Saints Day) and that our venue is inside All Saints Church. For your entertainment, Revd Lizzie will offer you a religious view and Dr Mark a non-religious take on Halloween. Join us for a not-so-spooky adventure that takes in Celtic festivals, soul cakes and punkies - all the way to last year’s limited edition Ginsters Halloween pasty! There won’t be a bar but hot & cold drinks will be available to buy - and perhaps even a soul cake or two! All Saints Church will also be opening on Saturday 31st October during the day (12-4) if you want to carve a pumpkin or make a lantern with the local community and will be handing out treats during the evening for any youngsters who dare to call in!
