Witches Night Out 2026The stars align on October 17th in Downtown Traverse City!
Witches Night Out is back for its THIRD ANNUAL celebration!
On Saturday, October 17th from 5–9 PM, Downtown Traverse City will transform into a Halloween-themed evening of magic, mischief, shopping, dining, costumes, and community.
Gather your coven, grab your broomsticks, and dress like a witch — costumes are highly encouraged!
Witches Night Out is a downtown-wide event, with participating businesses welcoming witches and magical creatures into their shops throughout the evening. Each business gets to create its own experience, so you never quite know what you'll discover around the next corner.
Some businesses may open their Witches Night Out festivities earlier than 5 PM, while others — especially our restaurants and bars — will continue the fun later into the evening. Check back as we get closer to the event for details on participating businesses, special offerings, and what's happening where!

We're currently working on some extra magical offerings for the evening, potentially including:
A Witches' Dance
A Witches' Cackle Contest
A Costume Contest
Magical practitioners & readings
Creative pop-up experiences
