We’re wrapping up our festival season and celebrating the turning toward the dark half of the year with some spooky fun! Witches’ Ball celebrates Halloween, Samhain, Día de los Muertos and other seasonal observations of the turning from fall toward winter, light and warm, to dark and cold. So, gather up your wildest costumes, bring your favorite Halloween treat to share, something to add to an Ancestors’ Altar and join us!Most things happen Saturday, but you’re welcome to come Friday and help set up and decorate, talk to other elves or just hang out in the woods. Saturday during the day, there’ll be decorating the Long Hall, pumpkin carving, and other creative activities, plus divinations for donations and a raffle to raise money for Lothlorien. Saturday evening there’ll be a snacky pitch-in, trick or treat stations, and the return of the kids’ costume parade with a new generation of elflings! At dusk, there’ll be a haunted trail and possibly a hayride. Then around 9pm there’ll be a dance party with a DJ. There will be prizes for the best costumes and an altar to honor our collective and individual ancestors.
Witches Ball activities will be centered around the upper field—Warrior’s & Scientist’s Circles and Radiance Shrine including the Long Hall and patios. Sign-in will be on the field.
