There are two sides to every story… and during Dark Fantasy Weekend, Merriwick steps boldly into the shadows. As the Thunder Moon fades, a tide of darkness creeps across the village—slipping between the spires of the Towne Gate, whispering through the fields, and curling along the riverbank. The veil between the mortal realm and the magical world thins, and from the deepest shadows emerge beings of twisted tales and eerie enchantments.Fairies of the Unseelie Court lead a dazzling, dreadful parade, followed by witches, vampires, goblins, satyrs, and creatures born of the under‑realms. Flowers wither, thorned vines coil thick, fruits turn over‑ripe with sickly sweetness, and the hairs rise on mortal necks as Merriwick transforms into a realm straight out of a dark fairytale.
Bear thy claws, thy pointed teeth, thy twisted horns, and embrace the magic of moonlit mischief. Whether you arrive as a creature of nightmare or a hero from the shadowed pages of legend, Dark Fantasy Weekend invites you to step into the spell.
Explore a bustling marketplace filled with artisan wares, handcrafted treasures, and Renaissance‑inspired goods. Enjoy hearty fare, raise a cup to the creatures of the night, and witness performances that celebrate the magnificently monstrous and fabulously feral.

The revels continue after dark with the WMRF Knight Club—Friday nights (21+, 6 PM–midnight) and Saturday nights (All Ages, 7:30 PM–midnight). Knight Club parties are separately ticketed events.
WMRF welcomes adventurers of all ages—children 5 & under are FREE, with discounts available for Seniors and Military. Onsite tent and RV camping is available for those who wish to fully immerse themselves in Merriwick’s magic all weekend long.
