Scarecrows on display in Mahone Bay • Sept 25 – Oct 12More than just a scarecrow stroll, the Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival fills the entire town with creativity, colour, and community events happening all throughout the season.
From storybook characters to seaside silliness, this beloved festival transforms the streets of Mahone Bay into a walkable gallery of imagination and community spirit.
As you wander, you’ll encounter hundreds of handmade scarecrows lining storefronts, gardens, docks, and doorsteps. Some will make you laugh, some will surprise you, and some will have you reaching for your camera before you’ve taken three steps.
Golden leaves crunch underfoot. The salt air mixes with the smell of fresh pastries. Shop doors are open. Coffee is hot. Every corner holds a new scene to discover.
