Are you brave enough to get up close to the creepy crawlies and spooky spiders that call our woods and ponds home? Ever wondered what an owl eats for dinner?Join us for our big wild Halloween party at Strumpshaw Fen and celebrate the magic of nature and autumn. Have a go at pond dipping and minibeast hunting. Poke amongst the bones and body bits found in owl pellets. Create some natural Halloween decorations and toast a tasty treat over our fire.
Suitable for families with children between 5-12 years. Fancy dress encouraged!
Sessions
This event has two sessions – a morning session and an afternoon session. Please make note of what session you have booked for. You will only be able to join in with the activities during your booked session. However, you are welcome to explore the rest of the reserve at any time. Reserve entry is included in the ticket for non-RSPB members.
What ages can attend
Suitable for families with children between 5-12 years. Younger and older children welcome and require a ticket if taking part in the activities.
What to wear
Fancy dress is very much encouraged. Please remember to wear suitable footwear such as walking boots or wellie boots.
