Are you brave enough to venture into our woods after dark? There’s nothing to fear, just the wonderful sounds of the creatures of the night.
As night-time falls, venture out on a spooky family walk and get involved with some spine-tingling nature-themed activities. Make your own recycled jar lantern to guide you on your way. With the help of our volunteers, learn how to use a bat detector and hear the eerie calls of bats flying around. See what moths have visited our moth station.
Listen to some spooky stories with our story tellers and finish off by warming up by the fire and toasting a marshmallow under the stars.
Suitable for families with children between 5-12 years, older children welcome.

Important Booking information
Pre-booking for this event is essential. To minimise overcrowding we will be operating arrival timeslots for this event. Once you have arrived you can then stay on the reserve for as long as needed to enjoy all our wonderful activities – we anticipate this taking between 1 – 1 ½ hrs.

What to bring?
This event will take place entirely outside and on paths that can be muddy. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for being outside. Please bring your own torch.

Facilities
Our reception building will be open for the duration of the event selling hot and cold drinks. Our toilets and car parks will be open for the duration of the event.
