Just when you thought it was safe, the terror returns!Beneath the streets of Newcastle is the historic Victoria Tunnel. Once used for moving coal, then as an air raid shelter, it has now been turned to a far more unsettling purpose… poetry!
Join Lewis Brown and the incredible Hellpoet for an hour of haunting verse and bone-chilling tales. Inspired by terrors both modern and ancient, you’re in for a real Halloween treat in a venue like no other.
The Hellpoet is your average boy next door... if you live next door to a haunted theatre. Hailing from the North East, he has been spotted at poetry nights across the North of England... but you may also recognise him as the queer, trans, British-Bengali nightmare that the government warned you about. With cutting, Brechtian humour, and the delivery of a fervent preacher, his work will comfort the macabre sensibility in you... or, delight in making you uncomfortable.
