CrawlSF broke the record for the World’s Largest Pub Crawl during its 2025 Halloween event. Now the company is preparing to bring an even larger crowd together in 2026 and break its own record.

The record attempt begins on Saturday, October 24, with the opening event of the four-day San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl. The event will run from 4PM to 10PM and include more than 20 participating bars across several of San Francisco’s most popular nightlife neighborhoods.

All participants must begin at Mayes Oyster House, located at 1233 Polk Street. Mayes will serve as the official check-in location for the October 24 event. Guests will pick up their wristbands and receive event information before beginning the crawl.

The wristband gives participants access to discounted drink specials and free admission at participating locations during pub crawl hours. After check-in, guests can follow any route they choose. There are no required stops and no schedule that forces everyone to move at the same time.

That flexibility makes the pub crawl a good choice for many different types of Halloween groups. Friends who want a high-energy party can look for DJs and dancing. Groups that prefer a more relaxed evening can spend additional time at neighborhood bars. Participants who want to experience the full scale of the event can move between as many locations as possible.

The participating lineup includes Union Street Ale House, Route 101, El Lopo, Rick & Roxy’s, Hanaro, The Blue Light, Jaxson, Decodance, Beso Mae, Mayes Oyster House, Lush Lounge, R Bar, Uni Pizza, Wizards & Wands, Campus, White Rabbit, Silver Cloud, Music City Starfactory, Sacred Taco, Comet Club, Rockwell, McTeague’s Saloon and Westwood.

Each location adds something different to the crawl. Throughout the afternoon and evening, participants can find DJs, music, contests, party favors, drink specials, Halloween activities and surprises. The large bar list also gives guests options for food, drinks, dancing and group photos.

The opening date arrives one week before Halloween, which gives everyone another chance to wear a costume. Participants can test a costume planned for October 31, wear an entirely different one or coordinate a group idea specifically for the opening event.

Saturday, October 24 is the first of four CrawlSF Halloween dates. The celebration will return on Friday, October 30, Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1. Together, the four events will turn Halloween into a multi-day San Francisco party.

The October 24 event is important because it sets the tone for everything that follows. It is the first chance for participants to join the 2026 celebration and help CrawlSF begin its effort to break the record set one year earlier.

Participants first visit Mayes Oyster House to check in and collect a wristband. After completing check-in, they can visit participating bars in any order. Guests are responsible for choosing their routes and meeting up with their groups.
