Based on real Cold War history on Balmer Rd. , PLANT 38 is an exploration of fear, and how some predators have evolved to feed on it.
About this EventPLANT 38Haunted House • Haunted Trail • Haunted Hayride
There’s just something about Autumn’s Gate.People have said it for years. Horseback riding feels calmer here. To even shy kids, Summer Camp feels like home the minute they arrive! People enter the woods afraid of something and come back wondering why they were ever afraid at all.
We always thought that was part of what made this place special.
Then there is Halloween.
Every October, we fill those same woods with monsters, strange voices, dark trails and things designed to frighten you. We teach people to ignore their instincts. To follow the trail. To approach the stranger. To walk toward the screaming.
Because it is Halloween.
Because it is supposed to be pretend.
But there has been something growing, feeding, manipulating.
Something that has spent years listening, watching and learning us.
We taught it Halloween.
And gave it a perfect place to lure us in.
At some point inside PLANT 38, the question stops being How did they do that?
It becomes:
Did they do that at all?
PLANT 38 is an all new, nighttime haunt at Halloween Celebration at Autumn’s Gate, combining a haunted hayride, haunted trail and haunted house walkthrough into one continuous story.
Inspired by the real Cold War history of Balmer Road and the surrounding Porter area, PLANT 38 blurs documented local history with an original horror story about fear, adaptation, and predators that have learned how to use it to feed.
ONE NIGHT. THREE HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS.HAUNTED HAYRIDEClimb aboard and head into the darkest reaches of Autumn’s Gate.
The deeper the wagon travels, the stranger the woods become.
Abandoned monitoring stations flicker back to life. Broken radio transmissions warn of movement beyond the established route. Figures appear between the trees.
Some look human.
Some don't.
And some are far too large to belong there at all.
The wagon keeps moving.
Whatever is following it does too.
HAUNTED TRAILThen you enter the woods on foot.
The familiar Trick or Treat Trail from Halloween Celebration is still there, but something has learned how to use it.
Doors open when nobody touches them.
Characters know things they shouldn't.
Voices travel through the trees.
And the comforting rules of a Halloween attraction begin working against you.
Because Halloween teaches us to do strange things.
Follow the masked stranger.
Walk toward the screaming.
Enter the dark doorway.
Ignore the monster standing between the trees.
After all, it's only pretend.
Until you aren't sure anymore. And PLANT 38 may be listening.
Brief pieces of what your group says during the experience may return later in ways you aren't expecting.
You might hear your name.
You might hear your friend's voice.
You might hear your own.If you do, don't answer it.
HAUNTED HOUSEFinally, the portal opens.
Enter a complete haunted house walkthrough through the corrupted world of The Hollow King.
What begins as the elaborate fantasy created for Halloween Celebration starts coming apart around you.
Sets change.
Characters stop following the story.
Something grows through the walls.
The creatures become less recognizable.
And somewhere inside, the distinction between what Autumn’s Gate created to scare you and what was already waiting here disappears completely.
WHY PLANT 38?Because the name is real.
Long before Autumn’s Gate existed, this area was part of an unusual Cold War landscape of military installations, missile development, experimental propulsion research and high energy fuel programs.
U.S. Air Force Plant 38 operated here on Balmer Road.
That documented history became the foundation for our story.
The rest begins with a question:
What if one of those experiments didn't stay where they left it?
WE BUILT THE MONSTERS.Something learned from them.PLANT 38 combines:
Haunted Hayride • Haunted Trail • Haunted House
Live actors and creature encounters
Large scale creatures and puppetry
Dark woods and immersive environments

THIS IS THE SCARY ONE.PLANT 38 is the intense nighttime haunt presented as part of Halloween Celebration at Autumn’s Gate.

This experience is designed for guests who want to be scared.
