AN INTIMATE CRUISE DEDICATED TO MONDAY BAR FAMILY�Our plan was one big cruise every year. But then we got the opportunity to organise a cruise on M/S Birka Gotland, one of the finest, but not biggest cruise liners on the Baltic Sea. She was decommissioned in 2020 at the beginning of covid, and was held in port at Mariehamn until Gotlandsbolaget and Viking Line decided to take her over as a joint venture. In November 2025 we made our first journey on this amazing ship. Totally sold out and a great success. And in November it’s time again.
M/S BIRKA GOTLAND is a pure cruise ship with no car deck, and her regular route is Stockholm-Mariehamn, but can also go to other destinations, such as Visby, Gotland, especially during summer. But for us, we will this time make a 21hr trip to Mariehamn, Åland, and back. Many of our guests have requested that we also do shorter, one-day cruises, like parents who can have a hard time to be away longer.
So we went on a cruise to see if there had been any changes since we last saw her, more than 5 years ago. And to our great surprise the ship is now even better after millions have been spent on renovation. Do you remember the spectacular car deck floor on Cinderella? Well, Birka Gotland has it’s own unique floor, the terrace with a detachable glass roof, perfect for dancing under the stars, and, if the weather allows, opened on the afternoon.
This time the theme is HALLOWEEN. However, it doesn't necessarily have to mean horror, but rather an encouragement to put a little extra effort into your costume, ranging from simple to advanced. But it's not a requirement. The idea is to have FUN!
LINEUP�An impressive lineup will be announced with a couple of names weekly starting in a few days. A mix of trance, techno, psy, hardstyle, hard-dance and crossover styles on 3 different floors with a massive production as usual.
FILL A 4-PERSON STANDARD CABIN�Since this is a smaller ship with about half the capacity of our last cruise we need to adapt our budget a bit. That means that to make this work, all cabins need to be filled to the max. So when the cabins are released on June 25, make sure that you have enough friends to fill a 4 person cabin. There are a few 2 person cabins too, but not that many, and mostly more expensive luxury ones.
CABINS will be on sale starting Thursday June 25, 08.00 starting at SEK 1423 per person. You can find the price list on our homepage.�
Prices (SEK) are per person. For EURO, divide SEK by ≈11. For UK pounds (GBP), divide by ≈12. �Everything except what you eat, drink and buy in the shops onboard is included in the price.�
The extra fuel charge (due to higher fuel prices) and a climate/CO2 fee are included in the prices.
