⭐ 🥷 Kiz Summit Exchange 2026: Kage Edition 🥷 ⭐ A Gathering Beyond Dance. A Connection Beyond Levels. Nine nights. One city. One room. This Halloween. October 30 to November 8, Austin hosts an Urban Kiz and Kizomba exchange built for dancers serious about the craft. A nine-night intensive plus a run of weekend socials, opening on Halloween night. Roughly 25 dancers travel in from Paris. The rest of the room comes from across North America. All levels. There's no gate on this one, only the work. This isn't another weekend festival. It's a decade of work turning into a new chapter: deep training, an international exchange of artists, and socials designed to move you. 🎟️ PASSES ARE LIVE https://www.wherecanwedance.com/events/kiz-summit-exchange-2026-kage-edition The Founding Ten, $199, sold out in under 12 hours. Here's where the ladder stands now: The Full Run · all nine nights, 71 hours · $250 through Oct 1, then $285, then $325 at the door Week Pass · Mon Nov 2 to Sun Nov 8 · $225 through Oct 25, then $290 Opening Pass · Halloween through Thursday, six nights · $140 through Oct 1 Closing Weekend · Fri Nov 6 to Sun Nov 8 · $125 through Oct 1 Halloween Night $45 · Weeknight $50 · Friday Social $60 · Saturday Pass $85 · Saturday Social $60 · Sunday Social $60 · all through Oct 25 Every pass on the site shows you exactly which nights you get and what the price does next. Bought night by night, the whole thing is about $510. The Full Run is under half that. Sales are final. 🏭 THE ROOM Factory on 5th · 3409 E 5th St, Austin, TX 78702 · 21+ A cool artistic warehouse in East Austin, run by an artist collective. 1,800 sq ft of floor, a 900 sq ft covered patio to step out onto, climate controlled, and a disco ball that was already there. We have it all nine nights, morning to close. I looked at 49 spaces in this city. Exactly one could give me all nine nights. 🎃 HALLOWEEN NIGHT Kage is a Naruto word. Costumes are the point on the 31st. Anime encouraged. 📍 EAST AUSTIN The venue sits in East Austin, the more affordable side of town and the one with the most going on within walking distance: coffee shops, taquerias, bars, restaurants, murals on every block. Stay east of I-35 and you can walk or take a five-minute ride to the floor every night. A travel page with neighborhoods, stays, and food is coming on the event site, and I'm working on a hotel recommendation. 🌮 FOOD Tacos Guerrero, Mexico City style street tacos, parks right out front. We're talking to them about staying open late for us. Beyond that, East Austin feeds you between blocks. ✈️ GETTING HERE Fly into AUS, Austin-Bergstrom International. The venue is 4.5 miles from the airport, about seven minutes. Take US-183 N, it's toll-free. 🛏️ ROOMMATES Buy a pass and you'll get a few questions about you as a dancer. Say yes to sharing a room and you're on the Roommates board on the event page, with your nights drawn out so you can see whose stay lines up with yours. No phone numbers or emails on the page; messages go through the site. Two dancers are already on it. Your answers also become your dancer card, the same cards we've been sharing for the Paris dancers, so both sides meet before anyone's in the room. 👥 THE ARTISTS Laurent · one of the most influential teachers and dancers of what we now call Urban Kiz, there since its inception. Founder of the Olympiads of Kizomba and Show Your Style. He walked away at the top in 2019, and his appearances since can be counted on one hand. Sophie Madison · co-director of Evokeez, the Paris training center, alongside Laurent. Charles Ogar · Kiz ATX, Neo Kizomba Festival, and over ten years building this dance in Austin and across North America. 🗓️ THE SHAPE OF THE WEEK Fri Oct 30 · Paris arrivals Sat Oct 31 · 6 PM to 2 AM Sun Nov 1 · 1 PM to 11 PM Mon Nov 2 · 7 PM to 12 AM Tue Nov 3 · 7 PM to 12 AM Wed Nov 4 · 7 PM to 12 AM Thu Nov 5 · 7 PM to 12 AM Fri Nov 6 · 7 PM to 2 AM Sat Nov 7 · 12 PM to 2 AM Sun Nov 8 · 12 PM to 12 AM 71 hours on the floor. These are windows, not the final schedule. Breaks, meals and the detail inside each day come later. 🎟️ Passes: https://www.wherecanwedance.com/events/kiz-summit-exchange-2026-kage-edition This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment.
