This 10,000 sq ft building was originally built around 1870 as a hotel serving travelers arriving by train. It went by the name The Cottage Hotel and ran as such until the 1950's. It was then converted into a nursing home, and later a care facility for adults with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and addiction issues. It was eventually shut down in 2005 due to health/safety concerns and code violations. Visitors report unexplained voices, footsteps, and shadow figures.
Historic Fremont County J*il
Built in 1880, this historic J*il sits in the heart of Sidney Iowa. It operated from 1880 until 2014 as the city's only J*il. It closed in 2014 when a new facilty was built. It consists of 5000 sq ft with and 8 person cell, and a 2 person cell. The Sheriff and his family lived on site while in operation. Former staff have reported paranormal activity ranging from shadow people to eerie feelings.

-Attendees are responsible for their own transportation.
-The drive between the J*il and Malvern is approximately 25 minutes.
-Attendees are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. We reserve the right to ask you to leave, without a refund.
-Smoking is allowed outside in designated areas.
-No alcohol, or drugs, are allowed on the premises.
-No open flames. All sources of light must be battery powered.
-Parking is on the street. Please do not park in front of the diner, The Salty Heifer.
Info: Check in starts at 6pm. Meet & Greet with Adam Berry from 6:30- 8 pm. This is your opportunity to meet Adam, get a photo, grab some exclusive merchandise, and get to know your fellow attendees. Manor tours will be available at this time. From 8 to Midnite - we will divide into 4 groups and investigate throughout the Manor. Everyone will have the opportunity to investigate with Adam. Maybe learn a few new techniques. Feel free to bring your own equipment. Midnite -2am- Free roam of the Manor.
