This is not just another haunted history walk or ghost tour. Haunted Hachie is led by real paranormal investigators who have been actively investigating since 2008 and have been featured on the A&E Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, and in print publications such as Texas Highways Magazine.
By day, your guide Sandy Emmons serves as the historian and administrator of the Ellis County Museum. By night, she combines Waxahachie’s haunted history with professional paranormal investigation techniques to create a unique experience for both beginning ghost hunters and seasoned investigators. Andy Don Emmons, Erin Powell, and Ian Powell are often investigators that facilitate the tours.
Your evening begins at the Ellis County Museum, originally built as the 1889 Masonic Temple, where you will check in, learn a brief history of the town, and view compelling evidence captured at local haunted locations. From there, we walk into the historic downtown district to visit Waxahachie’s most active paranormal hotspots. Guests are encouraged to take photos and videos, and you are welcome to bring your own equipment. We also feature & provide cutting‑edge paranormal tools for you to use throughout the night.
After exploring the downtown haunts, we return to the Ellis County Museum — one of the most haunted buildings in Waxahachie — to conduct a real paranormal investigation inside the first‑floor exhibition hall. This is where you become the ghost hunter, using professional equipment to seek out the unexplained.
Ten percent of all ticket sales directly supports the Ellis County Museum and its mission to preserve Waxahachie’s history.
Info: 7:30 - 7:45pm Check in at Ellis County Museum front desk (no late check ins after 8pm). Then the evening will begin with an over-view of the town history along with evidence captured in some of the locations we will be visiting. The tour will head out (weather permitting) and walk to a few haunted locations around the downtown Waxahachie square. The last hour of the tour is an actual paranormal investigation of the 1889 Masonic Temple that now houses the Ellis County Museum. We will have some of the same equipment you see on ghost shows. You become the ghost hunter!
