This tour was researched and designed by two historians who study the history of hauntings and ghost stories, and it examines how hauntings live on through oral histories and social disquiet.

Our Haunted Oxford tour delves into the real stories behind the supernatural, revealing the unsettling moments from the past that sparked their telling. Throughout this walk, you will discuss the underlying social frictions that fuel ghost stories, and examine why we are so fascinated by dark histories.

This unique ghost tour examines haunting through the echoes of gender disparities, oppression, violence, social division, and the powerful grip of memory.
