The Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade is Chicago's premier LGBTQ+ Halloween event, taking place annually in the vibrant Northalsted neighborhood. This free-to-watch parade features a spectacular costume contest with over $4,000 in cash prizes across five categories: Scary, Drag, Creative, Youth (under 13), and Group. Participants can register between 6:30–7:30 PM at Halsted & Belmont. The parade kicks off at 7:30 PM, proceeding north along Halsted Street, and concludes at Halsted & Brompton. Following the parade, an awards show and after-party are held at 3514 N. Halsted. The event showcases live performances by the Chicago Full Moon Jam fire dancers, Lakeside Pride Marching Band, The Windy City Rollers, and the Chicago Spirit Brigade pep squad. Whether you're marching in costume or cheering from the sidelines, this inclusive event offers a spirited and memorable Halloween experience for all ages.
