Explore a dazzling display of more than 8,000 one-of-a-kind glass pumpkins in traditional and unique colors, shapes, and sizes at this annual celebration of autumn and show of world-class artistry at The Morton Arboretum.The 16th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch opens to the public on Friday, October 9, and runs through Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Entrance to the Glass Pumpkin Patch is included with Arboretum general admission.
The event is rain or shine. The Glass Pumpkin Patch will be located near the West Lawn next to the Arboretum’s Visitor Center.

Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event
On Thursday, October 8, the ticketed, member-exclusive Glass Pumpkin Patch Member Event gives Arboretum members a chance to sneak a peek at this year’s glass creations, and purchase their favorites before the sale opens to the public.

Shop the Glass Pumpkin Patch
The Glass Pumpkin Patch is open to the public from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Presale viewing will take place on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Glassblowing Demonstrations
Attend glassblowing demonstrations to watch how artists craft their glass treasures.
Using traditional tools, fire from the furnace, and years of experience, the team of artists turn 2000º molten glass into beautiful art right before your eyes.
Glassblowing demonstrations will be held every thirty minutes from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The final demonstration will begin at 4:30 p.m. each day.
Flameworking Demonstrations
Attend flameworking demonstrations to see how glass artists use a technique known as flameworking to heat and shape glass rods into fall-themed miniatures, marbles, and beads. Flameworking demonstrations will be held Saturday and Sunday only at 12:15, 1:15, 2:15 , and 3:15 p.m.
