The Friends of the Sherman Public Library will hold a Book Sale on September 19 and 20 - most items will be priced $1 and under, and new releases will be $3. The Sept. 19 hours will be a Preview Night for Friends of the Library members only, from 5 to 7 p.m. - to get those shopping hours, see below to find out how to join the Friends. The Sept. 20 hours will be open to the general public, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funds raised by the sale go to support library materials and programs. The sale will be held at 1000 N. East Street in Sherman.
The Friends of the Sherman Public Library have many levels of membership. Some of the levels are: $15 for an individual, $25 for a family, $5 for a student, and $40 for a business/book dealer. Events and activities sponsored in full or in part by the Friends include the Summer Reading Program, AuthorFest, Trick or Treat Village, Book Reviews, and more.
