Come and experience an afternoon of chilling tales from the Civil War era at the Statham Community Center with Author & Historian - Courtney McInvale. Courtney is the founder & owner of Seaside Shadows Haunted History Tours (Mystic Connecticut). Following in her father's footsteps, she majored in History & interned at NCIS (Cold Case Homicide Unit) and worked with Homeland Security. Her father is a UGA alumni, graduating in the 70's as a History major.

She has been a guest on many Discovery/Travel Channel shows including Ghost Adventurers, and she routinely interviews on GAIA and George Noory's Coast to Coast .

As a 4th generation Georgia, she has relatives that fought in the Civil War. She felt compelled to research and is fascinated with Georgia Civil War stories and legends. The project quickly became 2 volumes - Civil War Ghosts of Georgia in the "Bury My Bones" Series.

Courtney will weave the audience thru battlefield, facts & folklore enchanting all ages with her storytelling during the first session. A Questions and Answer Session will follow. The presentation ends with photos and a book signing. She will have copies of her books for availabe for purchase.

This event is free and open to the public. Be transported back in time with her haunting accounts of ghostly encounters.
