Fly, buzz or crawl to Decomp2026: "Getting Buggy With It"It's time to swarm together for our annual fall community celebration! Join us on Oct 3, 2026, in Calgary for a night full of fun and colourful ant-ics.
This year’s theme, Getting Buggy With It, promises a high-energy blend of music, art, and community that brings together all the principles and spirit of Burning Man. We’re transforming the space into a bug sanctuary of DJs, art installations, and performances that will leave you fluttering on the dance floor.
And yes, we’re once again offering an overnight stay for our out-of-town guests—so pack your sleeping bags and prepare for a full 20-hour Decomp adventure!

Anyone under 18 is free so long as they are accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

We strive for a revenue neutral event. Any extra funds raised go directly to support our community through the League of Extraordinary Albertans** – so by attending, you’re not only having a blast, you’re helping build a stronger community for the future.
Decomp is a volunteer driven, and formally recognized Burning Man event. There are no paid members or volunteers and we aim for revenue neutrality. As is typical at most Burn events we ask that everyone who participates please purchase a ticket. This includes the producers, volunteers and artists. We want to try and make sure no one persons contribution is valued higher than anyone else's as this event is co-created by all who attend. However if finances are a barrier to your participation, please email [email protected] and we can help. Thank you for understanding.

Decomp is 100% volunteer driven! Consider volunteering and helping us make the magic happen!
We currently need leads in the following areas-
-Sound tech setup and/or teardown
-Potluck setup and cleanup organizer
-Kids daytime party programming
