Like bicycles? Like bacon? Like scenic trails and small-town charm? The Bacoon Ride brings it all together for Iowa’s most delicious day on two wheels. This wildly popular annual event cruises through several central Iowa towns along the beautiful Raccoon River Valley Trail (RRVT). At every stop, riders are greeted with mouthwatering bacon-themed food and drinks, turning a scenic spin into a sizzling celebration of flavor.

Your registration includes a full day of bacon stops and samples, a commemorative PassPORK punch card to track your tasty progress, and a fun Bacoon-themed keepsake to remember the ride. Whether you’re here for the miles, the memories, or the crispy goodness, the Bacoon Ride delivers an unforgettable experience that draws cyclists from across the country year after year. 🥓🚴

SAG support on the Bacoon Ride will be provided by Thirsty Pigs. SAG will follow the route and schedule of the ride during the listed times. SAG service will end at 3 PM.

Free parking is available at Waukee High School, Waukee Stadium and Waukee Middle School. Please see the rider informational email and map below for more details.

Camping in Centennial Park (opens at 5 pm Friday thru Sunday morning) Tent camping or RV/Bus camping is free for registered riders. There are no electric or water hookups. You can leave your tent in the park while you ride. There is no security for camping.

Primal Bacoon jerseys are available for order via the Primal Team Store. The store will remain open until June 22nd. The jersey will be shipped directly to you.

*If you ordered before May 4th, your jersey will be available for pick up the day of the ride.

Thirsty Pigs will be pouring adult beverages. Local 4-H families will be serving—tips are appreciated!
Be sure to visit the 4-H booth for:
Fresh, homemade pie slices, “Jedi Waters” and Gatorade
Walking Noods food truck will be onsite with additional food options for purchase:
