WHAT IS LOVE TALKIN'?
Love Talkin’ is a celebration of Japanese music through the lens of vinyl culture. From the iconic songs of Tatsuro Yamashita (whom the event is named after), the elegant production of the legend Nujabes, the brilliant compositions of virtuoso pianist Ryo Fukui, to the more recent sounds of the unmistakable Kyoto Jazz Massive, we’re looking to cover Japanese music we love from across the board. Through our events we not only want to showcase the records, but to generate interest in Japanese music among casual listeners, build community for music and vinyl lovers, educate about the genre through our panel presentations, and encourage others to make their own musical discoveries.
