YAAASSS! It’s time for PRIDE ROUND!Come along for the annual Sharks + AU Rugby Pride round at our home ground, Waite oval.
Match Day Schedule:
11:20am AU Women’s Premier grade
12:40pm Sharks Pride Round kick off
2:00pm AU Men's Reserve grade
3:30pm AU Men's Premier grade
STICK AROUND FOR (or go home and come back for...)
7:00pm AU RUGBY DRAG RACE!
This is a day that celebrates LGBTQI+ inclusion in sport and the wider community so you can expect to see just about everything decked in rainbow pride colours on the day. This year is especially important as South Australia acknowledges 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality.
Bring your 'camp' chairs to set up and watch the Sharks play Souths for the Pride match. Plenty of activities for everyone to keep you entertained! Get a good seat for the half time show!
Be sure to check out the other Queer sport teams in Adelaide and Community organisations who'll have stalls set up on the sideline. The Queer Community in Adelaide are sure to bring it!
Then… as we continue you on into the evening, AURugby in collaboration with AUSharks bring you the annual drag competition, AU Drag Race. This year will be a costume party, dress attire: WIGS! This is sure to be an event you don’t want to miss with a previous contestant coming back to try and win the crown! This year will be hosted by the fabulous Cleo Cosmopolitan!
