Do you believe in spirits? This October, join Stanley the Great as he attempts to connect with spirits from beyond the grave in this Victorian styled magic show.Experience haunting effects performed with antique and period props, mysterious illusions, and a ghost story that will send shivers down your spine! You'll gasp, you'll scream, you'll have the most fun in Portland this Halloween!
The evening will also feature Master of Ceremonies, Andrew Harris, presenting gothic and chilling tales from the past.
(All are welcome, but the show is intended for ages 10+. There are some jump scares.)
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
AUSTIN PHILLIPS of Phillips Puppets, based out of Portland Maine, is a builder and restorer of professional ventriloquist figures and puppets alike. He is a ventriloquial history, and Punch and Judy enthusiast with an extensive collection of antique figures and artifacts that date back as late as the 1800s. Austin lives out his passion each day creating, repairing, and restoring ventriloquist figures in his workshop overlooking the heart of downtown Portland
ANDREW HARRIS is a professional British born actor who studied and trained in London as a Stage Actor, Director and Theatre Educator. Andrew’s passion for educational theatre led him to work for the following major theaters - The Globe & The National Theatre, (London) and the Royal Shakespeare Company as an Education Associate, alongside similar positions in a number of regional repertory theaters. Andrew is currently performing and developing his repertoire of one-man performances portraying Charles Dickens and Dylan Thomas. He is delighted to be working alongside his former student, Austin Phillips, and developing their work together, which is inspired by the Victorian Music Hall & Vaudeville.
GERALD DAVIS is a versatile artist from Biddeford, Maine, with a strong presence in both acting and video production. His stage performances include notable roles such as Shermy in A Charlie Brown Christmas at Biddeford City Theater, as well as Archie in The Holdup, Felix Humble in Humble Boy, and Patrick in A Murder Is Announced at Saco River Theater. In video production, Gerald has demonstrated his expertise as the Director of Photography for the short film Smolder. He has also produced local advertisements for small businesses and created over 100 comedy sketch videos for social media. His most recent project is a short documentary titled Night Market, which explores an underground market in Portland, Maine.
