Regardless of what’s going on around us, one delightful constant remains at this time of year: the arrival of the enchanting and eagerly awaited autumn season. On the picturesque coast around Half Moon Bay, the stunning geography and autumnal beauty create a breathtaking sight to behold. The journey offers its own reward, with stunning views of seaside farmland, expansive fields of orange, whimsical scarecrows, rustic barns, and inviting pumpkin patches for picking. It's the perfect moment and place to savor the simple beauty and abundance of fall, and Half Moon Bay celebrates the season like no other. The world-famous Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival is the season’s signature event, drawing hordes of visitors to the “World Pumpkin Capital” for an epic festival on historic Main Street. This year’s 52nd annual festival will be held on October 19-20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

One of America’s most iconic festival brands features:

· The fantastically fun Great Pumpkin Parade on Saturday at noon

· Four Stages of epic live bands as well as street performers and DJs throughout the event

· Keepsake photos with the gargantuan grand champion mega-gourd

· A spectacular display of Volkswagen-sized heavyweight champion pumpkins

· Stunning harvest-inspired art and fine crafts from over 250 of the best artists

· Delectable homestyle foods, premium wines, seasonal craft beer, pumpkin-infused ales, and canned cocktails

· Expert pumpkin carver Farmer Mike ('"the Picasso of pumpkin carvers') sculpts monster pumpkins into amazing one-of-a-kind masterpieces

· Pie-eating contests both Saturday and Sunday at 2pm at the Bank of America Lot

· Costume Contest on Saturday 10am at the Half Moon Bay Library

Festival admission is free.

Presented by the non-profit Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee which has raised several million dollars for community service organizations and civic improvements in its history.
