Kui miski on legendaarne, siis on selleks Haapsalu õudus- ja fantaasiafilmide festivali avamised. Erand ei tule ka tänavune: kui mullu kaotas linnapea laval oma pea, siis seekord… aga seda tule vaata juba kohapeal!Ekstreemsed atraktsioonid, illusioonid ja üllatusesinejad, kaasa lööb Haapsalu oma tantsukool T-Stuudio. Õhtut juhib multitalent Mart Sander.
Tseremooniale järgneb festivali avafilm – Soome psühholoogiline õuduspõnevik „Öölaps”.
Äsja Berliini filmifestivali võistlusprogrammis esimest korda publiku ette jõudnud linateose lavastas Hanna Bergholm ja selles mängivad „Kupeest nr 6” tuntud Seidi Haarla ning „Harry Potteri” filmide Ron Weasley – Rupert Grint.
Pildistamiseks on avatud veripunane vaip, kus külalisi tervitab Haapsalu šerif. Uksed avatakse kell 17.30.
Pärast avalinastust on külalised oodatud kostümeeritud volbrijooksule, mis algab kell kell 21. Volbrijooksu korraldab spordiliit Läänela.

If there’s one thing that’s truly legendary, it’s the opening ceremonies of the Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival. This year will be no exception: last year the mayor lost his head on stage, but this time… you’ll have to come and see it for yourself!
The ceremony will be followed by the festival’s opening film—the psychological Finnish horror-thriller "Nightborn."
The film was directed by Finnish filmmaker Hanna Bergholm and stars Seidi Haarla (of Compartment No. 6 fame) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter films). "Nightborn" made its world premiere in the competition program of the Berlin International Film Festival.
A blood-red carpet will be open for photos, where guests will be greeted by the Sheriff of Haapsalu. Doors open at 17:30.
