Best Ways to Celebrate Halloween 2022 in San Diego | Parades, Ghost Hunts & More

America as a whole enjoys celebrating Halloween. Every state has locations that go all out for Halloween, from The Festival of the Dead in Salem, Massachusetts, to an event in Oregon honoring the earliest Halloween movies. No matter what floats your sheet, Halloween festivities in San Diego are no exception.

You may make your Halloween creepy in San Diego by participating in zombie crawls, playing pirates on a boat at sea, or visiting haunted houses. Some of the most unique and entertaining costumes ever have been seen at Halloween parties in San Diego. Even Halloween is celebrated in San Diego with a lot of exciting activities for your young trick-or-treaters.

1. Head to The Scream Zone Del Mar

The Scream Zone Del Mar is the biggest and maybe scariest haunted house in San Diego. Scream Zone features a sizable House of Horror with rooms full of terrifying scenes and scares lurking around every corner. This is a unique Haunted Hayride through the haunted barns on the racetrack, and The Chamber, a terrifying maze with the largest spinning tunnel in San Diego that will give you nightmares. Scream Zone is only open on a few dates in late September and is open from Thursday through Sunday in October.

The Scream Zone opened in 1998, and new sets, sceneries, and "scares" are introduced every season to give The Scream Zone fresh shocks every year. The Scream Zone includes "rolling floors," a tunnel that spins, and many more terrifying features for 2012. An eerie environment is also produced by strobe lights, pneumatic devices, fog machines, and dripping natural elements.

This is the finest Halloween adventure in San Diego, so get ready to be frightened by ghosts, zombies, and monsters. The cost of tickets varies, but if you purchase early online, you can receive special savings. Haunted Hayride, House of Horror, and KarnEvil are all available for $37. Triple Haunt will get a 50% discount on launch night and also all Thursday nights have specials. Tickets with a military discount are offered at base ticket booths.

2. SeaWorld San Diego Halloween Spooktacular

Halloween at SeaWorld San Diego Mid-September to Halloween, Spooktacular is a low-key, family-friendly Halloween weekend event that takes place at the park during regular operating hours. The entire family is welcome to participate in themed dance events and unique entertainment in costume. This is a different event from the separately ticketed, considerably scarier Howl-O-Scream event that begins at 7 o'clock. The terrifying haunted home event is only appropriate for adults and older children (as in teens). However, Spooktacular offers Halloween entertainment for the whole family.

There are Halloween signs, cobwebs, and festive fall decorations all across the park, even if it is not as decorated as Disneyland at Halloween Time usually is. A day at the park is made nicer by the Halloween celebrations. Check out the several jack-o-lanterns at Shark Encounter to add a little extra scare to the already heart-pounding experience!

3. SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream

The well-known Halloween event, which has been held at numerous locations since the 1990s, delivers haunted houses, fright zones, unique entertainment, and themed food and drink to Southern California. The separately ticketed event is available from now through October 31 on a few nights.

A taste of the themed cuisine, which is served throughout the park and is only available as part of the paid experience, kicked off the media event. Highlights included a tasty Bloody Lucy, a riff on the Midwest classic, the Juicy Lucy, a burger packed with cheese, and a spooky cannoli filled with coloured cream. The gathering also featured roaming entertainment, such as a deranged juggler and a tarot card reader.

4. Haunted Trail Of Balboa Park

The Balboa Park Haunted Trail This attraction, which is celebrating two decades of operation, is undoubtedly the most well-liked and often visited hotspot in San Diego right now. The Haunted Trail is a mile-long route that runs through the Marston Point region, which is in the southwest part of the park, and features two attractions: a 3500-square-foot maze called The Experiment, and the wooded outdoors of San Diego's lovely Balboa Park.

The Haunted Trail is one of those attractions that maintains its overall concept each year while changing and updating some elements. This implies that while there are many recurring themes or rooms that take the place of more stale and outmoded ones, there are also many recognisable views from year to year. This gradually changes the Haunted Trail into a collection of scenarios for repeat visitors.

5. Cocktails and costumes at Barleymash

Try to Give'm Pumpkin to Talk About, a roasted pumpkin flatbread with garlic cream and pickled Halloween pros, one of Barleymash's Halloween specials, on October 31.
