Costumes are very much the center of the Monsters Ball Halloween Costume Contest Party at Grooves of Houston, 2300 Pierce Street. Running from 9 PM on October 31 until 2 AM on November 1, the night includes a $1,000 costume contest along with tarot card readers, magicians, professional face painters and a photo booth.

The Texas Halloween Massacre 2026 Haunted Warehouse Costume Fest takes over Warehouse Live Midtown, 2600 Travis Street, on Saturday, October 31 from 9 PM to 2 AM. A $500 costume contest sits at the center of the night, alongside face painting, stilt walkers, LED performers, 360 photo booths and food trucks outside the venue.

This one goes for scale. Capacity is listed at 2,000 people, and the setup spreads the Halloween theme across entertainment, visual performances and costume-focused activities rather than building everything around a single headline act.

4. The Fright Crawl | Houston Halloween Bar Crawl 2026 | Thurs, Oct. 29

The Fright Crawl on Thursday, October 29 is scheduled from 7:30 PM until 2 AM, beginning at Irma’s Southwest in Houston. It is a 21+ Halloween nightlife crawl involving several participating venues, live DJs and a hosted route through the downtown area. Government-issued identification and event check-in are part of the entry requirements.

5. The Fright Crawl | Houston's #1 Halloween Bar Crawl 2026 | Sat, Oct. 31

The Halloween-night edition runs on Saturday, October 31 from 7:30 PM until 2 AM on November 1, beginning at Irma’s Southwest. This is also a 21+ event, structured as a multi-venue costume crawl with a host and scheduled stops during the evening.
