Uncover the fine line between medicine and witchcraft and explore what life would have been like for Tudor healers, apothecaries and wise women who were often a step away from deadly accusations of witchcraft.
How did the Tudors protect themselves from dark magic and witches, how could healing with herbs be misconstrued as witchcraft and what were the punishments? And is there any evidence of superstition aboard the Mary Rose?
After your talk, explore the museum with a fascinating behind the scenes tour led by one of our expert guides. Enjoy access into our Reserve Collection not accessible to the public, and take refreshments in our wardroom and use of our exterior viewing balcony with views of the Solent and HMS Victory.
