Make your Friday night a little more creative.

Join us at La Mesa Wine Works for The Lettering Social—an evening of creativity, connection, and modern brush lettering in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Whether you're coming with friends or flying solo, this beginner-friendly workshop is a chance to unplug, make something with your hands, and enjoy a creative night out.

You'll be guided step-by-step through the foundations of modern brush lettering, from basic strokes and letterforms to connecting letters and creating words. No previous lettering or calligraphy experience is needed.

Since we're meeting just before Halloween, we're giving the evening a little spooky-season twist, with a specially designed seasonal lettering guide and plenty of October-inspired words and phrases to practice.

Then you'll put the practice sheets away and put your new skills to work. Your final challenge is to create your own hand-lettered piece freehand—no tracing—using everything you've learned during the evening.

Your ticket includes a specially designed seasonal brush lettering guide, 2–3 brush pens to use during the workshop and take home, and all materials for your final project.

Drinks will be available for purchase separately from La Mesa Wine Works.

Come with friends or come on your own—just come ready to create. You'll leave with a finished hand-lettered piece, your pens and guide, and a new skill you can keep practicing at home.

Cancellation Policy: Tickets are non-refundable due to the limited class size and materials prepared for each attendee. If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else.
