What: Tango 101 Returns as a 4-Week series!
Step into the world of Argentine Tango with "Tango 101," a class designed to introduce and refine the foundational movements and posture essential to this elegant dance. You'll master the essentials, including:
- Caminada (Walking): The art of moving gracefully and with intention.
- Ochos (Pivots): Perfecting fluid and connected pivot turns.
- Parada Pasadas (Stop/Pass): Learning the timing and technique of stops and passes.
- Giro/Molinette (Rotational Moves): Developing smooth, circular movements to enhance your dance.
Whether you're new to tango or looking to sharpen your skills, this class will provide you with the tools to dance with confidence and poise.

Maximum 6 couples per Session
Minimum 3 couples per Session
Note: If less than 3 couples or only followers register the class will be cancelled and students will be refunded.
What to Wear: Anything you're comfortable in that lets you move. For ladies we do not recommend long skirts (e.g. Maxi skirts or dresses) since they are hard to take side steps on.
Shoes: Slippery shoes and shoes that stay on your feet well are the best. Avoid sneakers with rubber soles, heavy boots, platform heels and slippers/sandals/heels without backs and pumps that may slip off the back of your heel if you go up on your toes.
PARKING: Parking is free for the first hour and $2 per every 30 min after (you can get street parking on King Street if you're lucky but it's only free after 6 pm and on Sundays). The parking entrance is on University avenue immediately after the Coyne St. light and Betty's Burgers (you'll pass a chained ramp first - it needs repair). . It's super hard to see and folks miss it all the time. After you get your ticket you turn right and head towards that exit (it looks like a cave), if you look to your right as you go under the overhang you'll see a ramp up to the 2nd level. Go up and park there. The entrance to the studio is right next to the handicapped parking spots. Head through that door and turn to the right and go through the glass doors. The Salon is the red door that is passed the double glass doors.
