Join us for the Spooky Boozy Book Fair as we celebrate Halloween. We'll have special Halloween cocktails and mocktails and retail discounts storewide (with more specials on horror and seasonal titles). Dress up for our costume contest and you could win a prize. Anyone in costume gets an extra discount!
Kick off the book fair at 5 pm with Weird, Queer Halloween Eve with Ani King & Dawn Burns!
Join Lansing local authors Ani King and Dawn Burns for Halloween Eve with strange and spooky explorations of family, love, and loss, in the embrace of the weird. Enjoy readings from Family Night (King) and A Green Glow on the Horizon (Burns), two books in deep conversation with each other about queerness and class, surviving trauma, and embracing “otherness” as a way to find yourself. There will be Q&A time, as well as surprise treats (no tricks!) for attendees.
