Edmonton is a thriving city. Her citizens relax listening to Alberta’s first radio station, CJCA. Some stroll through the newly opened Patricia Gyro Park on 95th Street, or swim in the Riverside Pool.

Friends and family of the late Daisy McGrath gather to commemorate her life. From Mayor David Duggan to her favorite taxi driver Jack Hays, Daisy had many friends. Even now, a year after her passing, she is missed. Sadly, she never fully recovered from the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918.

But this is not a time for sadness. We are here to commemorate her life – to celebrate her indomitable spirit. But just as the evening begins, Police Chief Shute enters. He looks worried – and perhaps a bit angry. He asks questions about Daisy’s death.

Did someone else know the circumstances of Daisy’s death? Or, indeed , is there something else afoot? Strange things begin to happen. A cryptic message….A scent of perfume….things that go bump in the night.
