Making friends as an adult can feel impossible—until now! Speed Friending at ARTISANworks is designed to break the ice in a fun, low-pressure way. Instead of awkward small talk, you’ll enjoy guided rounds of lighthearted questions while working on a playful coloring sheet, giving you something to do with your hands as conversations unfold.
This special edition adds a festive twist: it’s a Halloween costume party! Come dressed in your favorite costume or spooky gear to make the night even more fun.
How It Works
Three Rounds of Conversation: Each round gets a little longer and a little deeper, starting with quick, easy questions (“What did you want to be when you grew up?”), moving into interests and hobbies, and ending with conversations about favorite Rochester spots and things you’d love to do with a new friend.
Seat Swaps Between Rounds: To help you meet more people, you’ll switch seats throughout the evening (though it’s not required).
Connection Cards: No pressure to hand over your phone on the spot! You’ll get custom cards where you can share your name, contact info, and what kind of connections you’re looking for—friendship, casual, or more. Add a personal note and pass it along when the moment feels right.
