Ready to put those basic sewing skills to work? In this festive Sewing 101 class, you'll learn how to read and use a sewing pattern while creating your very own fabric witch hat, just in time for Halloween! We'll walk through the process together, from understanding pattern pieces and cutting your fabric to pinning, assembling, and finishing your hat. You'll leave class with a completed, wearable witch hat and the confidence to tackle more sewing patterns on your own. Choose from a selection of fun Halloween fabrics and make your hat spooky, whimsical, vintage, or completely your own. Prerequisite: This is not a learn-to-use-a-sewing-machine class. Students should already have a basic understanding of how to operate a sewing machine, including threading the machine and sewing a basic seam. All supplies and use of The Makery's sewing machines are included. This project is designed to be completed during one class. October 29 • 6:30 PM • $45
