We have worked for this future. Everything has fallen apart and we've put it back together, better, more loving, more creative, more expressive. We all have our community. We all belong. We all dance.
Join the Castillo de Lagarto in celebrating our 6 year anniversary by stepping into the future with us, 2200, where we imagine the future of our dreams. The future we work for, the future we dance for.
This is a costume fusion dance party! Dress for a rainbow future: pick one color to wear, and trade garments as you dance with people throughout the night to become the rainbow! (The Castillo will lightly facilitate getting clothing back to its owners after the party, don't leave with things that aren't yours.) We will take one BEFORE picture at 8pm and one AFTER picture at 2am.
The focus of this party is fusion dance and community building: bring your creative dance energy, friendliness to meet new people, and dance-curious friends! Bring a snack or drink to share - we love things that promote dancing all night, like fruit juices, cheeses and crackers, cut veggies, and meats and breads, but anything you want to bring will be appreciated! Please label allergens.
Be courteous to our neighbors, who are very patient with us dancing all the time. Arrive and leave quietly, keep noise down outside, and check your parking that you don't park in front of any driveways (they are not beveled so some of them are easy to miss).
SCREEN PRINTING! The Castillo is creating a special custom screenprint design for our 6th anniversary. Bring a shirt, pants, a backpack, hankerchief, or any other fabric you want to print a design on! More smooth and flat fabrics are best for printing, we will be using black and white ink.
