Calling all Bay Area queers 18 and up! A new queer Afro-Latin social dancing party is hitting the dance floor in Oakland. Supernova and Café Con Cariño present QUEER CON LECHE! Did we mention it's a DAY PARTY!?!

Tap into queer joy on Sunday October 12th from 12pm to 5pm at Café Con Cariño and dance until you drop. And what’s a party in October without a halloween dress up theme: Monsters & Ghouls!

12pm-1pm: Beginner friendly Bachata class with Supernova and Sarah Taborga

1pm- 5pm: Social dancing with DJ Hija del Volcán in the mix to your favorite bachata, salsa, cumbia, and merengue songs.

Palestínían Cuban Fusíon small bites by Azúkar, vegan and gluten free options, all halal.

Pre-sale: $15, $20, or $25 (sliding scale)

At the door $25, no one turned away for a lack of funds

The purpose of sliding scale pricing is to create finacial access to those who may otherwise not be able to afford the event. If you are able to pay more, this helps us sustain our event and create finacial access for others.

All ticket sales are final. This event is 18 and up. Online tickets close 10/11/25 at 12pm.

This event is mask required (KN95 or better) indoors. We will have masks available for folks who don’t have one, or need a better one. There will also be a purifier in the space. All drinks and food must be consumed outside in our parklet, masks must be kept on at all times indoors. As a friendly reminder, if you are feeling ill, test positive for covid, or have come in contact with a person who has tested positive for covid, please stay home. Let’s keep each other safe, I promise this will not be the last event. We will also be implementing covid tracing, so if you pay at the door we will be requiring folks to leave their email.
