Compost them or feed them to the hogs @Urbavorefarm 🐷 Every November, composting operations like ours host Pumpkin Smashing parties to keep pumpkins out of landfills + give them a second life in the soil. —>Pumpkins are big, heavy, and take a lot of energy, time, water, and labor to grow. Yet, every fall, countless pumpkins end up in landfills, where they take up valuable space and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. —>Breaking pumpkins into smaller pieces helps speed up the composting process, turning them into nutrient-rich compost that helps grow more food! 🔨 Smashing Tools Provided! Feel free to bring your own, too. 👨👩👧👦 Kid-Friendly! 🎶 Music! 🍻 Beer & Refreshments 🍂 Dress for the Weather 🐷 Feed the Hogs! 🌱 Explore Urbavore Urban Farm 🗓️ RSVP + invite your friends, family, and neighbors!
