Get ready for Halloween in Miami, Florida with a beach cleanup, guided eco walk, and Halloween costume swap! Join Debris Free Oceans, MORAES, & Earth Breeze for a spook-tacular afternoon at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. 🎃

Forget Michael Myers and Jason, plastic is the real horror story! There are more than 170 trillion plastic particles floating in the world's oceans, roughly 19,000 times the 9 billion pieces of candy corn produced each year!

Halloween is also one of the most wasteful holidays. 35 million costumes are thrown away annually in the U.S. The best way to tackle the Halloween costume problem? Reuse, swap, and DIY your outfits!

What to Expect

🧛🏻‍♀️Halloween Costume Swap: Exchange gently used costumes and accessories

🌊 Beach Cleanup (volunteer service hours will be provided)

🐢 Guided Eco Walk with MORAES: explore the park while learning about the island's unique wildlife, native and invasive vegetation, coastal habitats, and seasonal sea turtle activity
