Out of Frame - Film Talk - Cork Horror
Halloween is approaching and of course, we don't want to miss the opportunity to dedicate Round 13 of our monthly film talk to a spine-tingling deep dive into the spookiness that is the Cork Horror scene! The horror genre in Ireland has recently been defined by rising numbers in productions and popularity, while on the other hand still struggling with funding and recognition. We will be talking to the renowned horror filmmakers Seán Breathnach, Brian Deane and Emmet O'Brien, about their approach to script writing, their short and feature productions and their experience with the horror film scene in Cork and screening at festivals all around the world. Our event will open up with a selection of horror short films by the panelists, followed by an open discussion round and Q&A, hosted by visual artist and horror enthusiast Bjornism.
