🦬 NATIONAL BISON DAY CELEBRATION Sunday, November 8, 2026 10:00 AM–3:00 PM Sunset Hills Bison Ranch • Malcom, Iowa PARKING: $5 PER VEHICLE Please note that our event parking location may change depending on weather and ground conditions. Watch for signs along the road as you approach the ranch. We’re doing National Bison Day a little differently this year. Instead of hosting a vendor fair, we’re bringing the celebration back to the reason this day matters—the bison! Join us for a relaxed Sunday at the ranch filled with bison, burgers, pumpkins, campfires and family fun. 🍔 BISON BURGERS The grill fires up at 10:30 AM! Only 160 bison burgers will be served this year, so come early. When they’re gone, they’re gone! Bison Burger + Chips — $12 Bottled Water — $2 EVENT SCHEDULE 10:00 AM — Gates Open 10:30 AM — Bison Burgers Begin 11:00 AM — Bison Talk & Feeding Learn more about our herd, bison behavior and life on the ranch. Purchase a $5 souvenir cup of bison feed at the gazebo in the glamping area and join us for feeding time. 12:00 PM — Pumpkin Dump #1 Watch the herd enjoy one of our favorite National Bison Day traditions! 1:00 PM — Bison Talk & Feeding Another opportunity to learn about the herd and participate in feeding time. Souvenir feed cups will be available for $5 at the gazebo. 2:00 PM — Pumpkin Dump #2 3:00 PM — Event Ends HAPPENING THROUGHOUT THE DAY 🔥 S’mores at the Campfire — $2 each 🪶 Tipi Talks Step inside the tipi for informal talks and Q&A while a warm fire burns inside the traditional lodge. 🚜 Hayrack Rides Weather and ground conditions permitting, we’ll offer hayrack rides for a closer look at the herd, pastures and ranch. 🛍️ Sunset Hills Retail Store Our self-serve ranch store will be open with bison meat and other ranch products available for purchase. 🎯 Yard Games & Photo Opportunities Play some games, take pictures and enjoy a simple fall Sunday at the ranch. IMPORTANT INFORMATION • Parking is $5 per vehicle. • Watch for roadside signs directing you to the event parking area. • Hayrack rides are weather and ground-condition dependent. • Burgers, water, s’mores and feed cups are available while supplies last. • Sunset Hills is a working bison ranch. Children must remain with an adult, and all guests must follow posted signs and staff directions. • Please do not enter fenced areas or approach the bison unless specifically directed by ranch staff.
