Montreal — Every year for our Halloween Edition you pull up with an energy that can’t be matched. This edition, we spotlight the Blue Devil — a figure born from the rich carnival traditions of Trinidad & Tobago, and one that embodies power, rebellion, and liberation.
Presented as part of an installation, we’re happy to announce that we will be screening “Water Devil”, a cinematic and experimental short film by Walt Lovelace. The film explores rebirth and transformation through the lens of the Blue Devil, drawing on the symbolism of water as a cleansing force.
MASQUERADE // DRESS
We encourage you to dress in ways that nod to the carnival ethos of freedom, resistance, and power. That could look like blue costumes, painted skin, devilish details — anything that channels the spirit of the Blue Devil, or draws inspiration from the wide rich world of carnival.
Costumes aren’t required, but if you do show up dressed — on theme or not — the BEST LOOKS of the night will be rewarded with a little token of our love.
