Please note that a photo will be required for your entry to be considered, but your display does not need to be complete at time of entry. Entry Deadline: Sunday, October 25 at 11:59 PM Entry Form: https://forms.gle/z7NrztBvXoqZavej8 All contest entries will receive a contest number and be included in the community voting lineup and on the Trick or Treat Map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1ttTs4DFvCZCGQc4aIwVYQSEbrnYA5l0&usp=sharing VOTING PERIOD October 30th and October 31st between 6:30 PM and 10 PM All entries will be added to the Hernando Haunters Trick-or-Treat Map, and the community will vote for their favorites. Winners will be announced on November 1st in the Hernando Haunters Facebook group. Voting will be completed via a Google form where residents can select a number via a dropdown list for each category: https://forms.gle/92oPMuKMZ9zxDJ667 CATEGORIES Spookiest Decorations – For displays that truly embrace Halloween vibes and whimsical themes appropriate for all ages. Scariest Decorations – For the setups that really bring the screams. Best Residential Haunt – Requirements include a physical walkthrough and scare elements outside of outdoor decorations. RULES AND INFORMATION 🎃 Open to all Hernando County residents (and nearby neighborhoods on the Trick-or-Treat Map). 🎃 Entry is free. 🎃 Judging is for exterior decorations only, including windows visible from outside (excluding votes for homes that apply to the Residential Haunt Category, which may not have elements visible from the street). 🎃 By entering, you agree to have your photo and address shared on the Trick-or-Treat Map and Hernando Haunters social media so others can enjoy your display. 🎃 Please keep decorations and lights on during the voting period (October 30 and October 31) so visitors can stop by to see your setup. 🎃 All entries will have their contest number added to their listing on the Trick-or-Treat Map in the title for easy identification. Numbers will be assigned at time of submission and sent to you via email and accessible via your entry on the map on October 25th once all entries have been received. Only votes received on October 30th and 31st will be counted. 🎃 In addition to the Hernando Haunters admin team including your contest number on the map, you will be responsible for displaying your contest number clearly on your home. This can be in any medium, but it should be visible from the street on October 30th and 31st. It should follow in the following format: #1, #11, etc. (For those unable to display a number, we can provide your contest number on a printed 8.5x11 sheet of paper. Pick up would need to be coordinated with Admin Brittaney directly.) 🎃 One entry can be voted for in multiple categories. 🎃 Winners will be announced on November 1 in the Hernando Haunters Facebook group. 🎃 Have fun and get spooky!
