On Friday 1st November Machine Soul return to FORGE to bringing Ash Lauryn, one of the most exciting House DJs to come out of Detroit for a long time, in collaboration with Apricot Ballroom who will be hosting the Workroom with NTS resident Sofie K!Ash Lauryn is the first DJ in a long time to rise to the top of the scene with a totally fresh House sound that balances between two worlds, with an old-school house head foundation and a digital age suaveness, blending her skills as a DJ, writer, curator, and radio host to champion black dance music. She will be playing a special three hour set in the FORGE Warehouse alongside former Development resident Tomson and Machine Soul's Sirrey & Benedict.
The Workroom will be hosted by Apricot Ballroom, bringing Sofie K to join them for their monthly instalment of their legendary party, hauling their Klipschorn-based sound system into the locally renowned space with founders Nonna Fab and Joi La Frique completing the line-up.
