The first (and last) step towards turning the HALLOWEEN franchise into a series of unconnected movies that take place on Halloween, John Carpenter and Debra Hill deliver an incredible nerve-shredder that’s more in-line with a late-80s Stephen King novel than HALLOWEEN. And that’s a great thing for us, especially considering that HALLOWEEN III features one of Carpenter and co-composer Alan Howarth’s most life-affirming synthesizer scores.
