Our monthly celebration of movement, music, community connection, and inclusion. Wear your favorite costume or come as yourself!
About this Event

Our Monthly Dance Party is a high-energy celebration of movement, music, laughter, and community connection. This inclusive, all-abilities dance experience welcomes everyone—no dance experience required. Whether you love choreography or prefer to follow your own rhythm, this is your space.

This event is offered as a Pay What Moves You gathering, with a suggested donation of $10–$25. Contributions from events like this help sustain Open Up’s work and keep our programs accessible to the whole community.

Open Up exists because people show up—not just on the dance floor, but through their support. When you give, you help us:

Keep our community classes free and open to the public
Pay our teaching artists and staff fairly
Expand access through virtual and community-based programming
Continue centering equity and disability justice in all that we do

If you are able, we encourage you to make a donation during the event. Your generosity helps ensure that spaces like this—joyful, welcoming, and accessible to people of all abilities—continue to thrive.

At the same time, access remains central to our mission. No one will ever be turned away for lack of funds. You belong here!

Every contribution—large or small—helps keep this community moving.

What to Expect

During this 60-minute dance party, you’ll enjoy:

Guided, accessible dance moves led by our facilitator
Freedom to move in your own way—follow along or groove to your own beat
Joyful connection with others through shared movement and laughter

This Dance Party is designed to spark self-expression, creativity, and joy in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Accessibility & Support

Open Up events are designed to be accessible to people with and without disabilities. Our facilitators work to meet a wide range of needs and create a supportive, sensory-aware environment.

Some participants may make sudden movements or sounds—this is part of our inclusive community. You’re welcome to bring headphones if helpful, and a relaxation space is available at the back of the studio.

If you have specific support needs or questions, please contact .

Registration Notes

If you are bringing a support person or caregiver, please register for two tickets (one per person).
If you’re bringing a group, please register each individual separately.

Facilitators: Open Up staff and community members
Age Requirement: Open to all ages

All new participants will be asked to sign a waiver, studio agreements, and an optional photo release upon arrival.

Keeping Classes Free

Our classes are free because we believe cost should never be a barrier to participation. If you’re able to contribute, one-time or recurring donations help keep these offerings on the schedule and support the people who make them possible.
