Halloween Baby + Parent Meet Up

Chit chat over coffee with other parents and caretakers of babies and toddlers in a laid back setting along the gorgeous LA River Bike path. Families of all kinds are welcome to come enjoy Halloween fun and enjoy watching our babies interact, observe and play. Dads, grandparents, non bio parents, queer parents, nannies, family members...this is a group for all of us who care or have cared for little ones aged 0-3. This experience is beautiful and tough. Doing it together will make all the difference!

***We love our fur babies too but please do not bring them to this group.***

What to expect for this event:

Walk through the pathway entering Happier Cafe LA and take in the sights of the gorgeous space. To your right you'll see TADAA.coffee's coffee camper. They're known for their cold brew and a parent favorite has been their hot oat matcha with sweet oat cream foam that is DELISH. Find a seat as close or far away from the sand pit which is stocked with toys and coloring supplies and then allow your child to explore our Halloween activities like face painting, craft table and picture taking in their costumes.

Nearby Ammenities:

Lewis Macadams Riverfront Park- plenty of green space, walking trail, wheelchair and stroller accessible restrooms and water station, picnic tables in the shade and workout equipement.

Bike Path- Pedestrian friendly walkway for easy access to the front of Happier Cafe LA by TADAA.coffee. Just be mindful of the bikes flying by, keep center roadway totally clear.

Parking and Restrooms:

Free parking lot at LEWIS MACADAMS RIVERFRONT PARK. This is where the restrooms are too. Pass the pillar courtyard and the open black gates, turn right to find the front of the cafe.

If the lot is full, street parking is available and plentiful. Heads up to avoid spots that will have street sweeping Thursday morning.

For wheelchair accessible routes, please use Google Maps App, set the starting point to 'your location' once parked/dropped off and enter "Happier Cafe" for 'choose destination'. Press the three dots at the top and the click 'options'. Toggle the 'wheelchair accessible' tab to "ON". This should help give the most clear passageway to the spot.

**Also Highly Recommended to use Google Maps 'Walk' setting for easy guidance to the spot if mobility isnt an factor. Still super helpful**

What to Bring (everything optional):

-Water and snacks

-Any hand me downs you wish to share

-$ for coffee and treats

-Feel welcome to dress up in your costume! (adults and kid)

Group Guidelines:

--Please, no pet dogs or children over the age of three years old.

-Parents model healthy interactions including helping little ones keep hands, mouths and feet to themselves and speak kindly.

-Parents are hands-on and engaged. Never leaving their baby unattended or attended by another parent without explicit communication.

-Ask permission to share foods between babies or to touch another child even to help.

-Respect & consent culture. We share stories but avoid unsolicted advice or put downs. No hate or discrimination.

-No promotions unless approved by group leaders in advance. We would love to collaborate with you and give you time to spotlight your business.
