Hallo-Clean 2025: Trash & Treat

This Halloween, trade tricks for trash bags and treats for teamwork at Hallo-Clean 2025, a community cleanup event sponsored by Tampa Bay Water! Volunteers will gather to remove litter from Lowry Park and paddle the Hillsborough River by kayak, helping restore and protect one of Tampa’s most cherished natural spaces.

The event will also feature multiple local vendors, eco-friendly organizations, and educational booths focused on sustainability and water conservation. Participants can enjoy refreshments, giveaways, and a costume contest — so feel free to come dressed in your favorite Halloween attire (as long as it's cleanup-friendly!).

Whether on land or water, your efforts will have a lasting impact. Join us for a fun and meaningful way to give back to our environment this spooky season!

Parking, shown below, will be right next to the boat ramp. Signs will be placed to direct volunteers to our festive, Hallo-Clean event!

Hallo-Clean

Is an annual event that Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful hosts to encourage our community to celebrate Halloween in an environmentally conscious way. Americans buy about 600 million pounds of candy for this holiday and most candy wrappers are not recyclable. It is important to properly dispose of trash especially micro-trash like candy wrappers, because it is harder to collect smaller piecies of litter once it make its way to our roadways, parks, and shorelines!
