BFT Lincoln’s Half Rox returns on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with another full morning of running, sleds, ergs, lunges, wall balls and extremely questionable decisions involving burpees.

This HYROX-style fitness race gives athletes the opportunity to experience approximately half the running distance and half the station volume of a traditional HYROX race.

Compete as an individual or grab a partner and enter one of our doubles divisions. Whether you are preparing for an upcoming HYROX, testing your current fitness or looking for a challenging event with an incredible community around you, Half Rox is built for you.

And because Halloween is lurking around the corner, costumes are encouraged. Keep costumes safe for running and equipment use. Nothing should restrict your movement, obstruct your vision or create a tripping hazard. Capes are fun until they meet a SkiErg.

Waves will begin every 10 minutes, with up to three individual athletes or doubles teams per wave.

Register by September 25, 2026 to get a swag bag and t-shirt with your entry!
Athletes will select their division when registering. Exact wave assignments and arrival instructions will be emailed at least one week before the event.

Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before your assigned wave to check in, warm up and receive final course instructions.

Half ROX is a HYROX-style race simulation that includes:

• Structured wave starts every 10 minutes (3 athletes or doubles pairs per wave)
• Run + functional station format, just like a real HYROX race, but half the distance for runs and stations
• Actual HYROX weight classes used for womens, mens and doubles divisions
• Official-style flow so you learn pacing, transitions, and strategy
• HYROX-specific weights for men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions

We’ll run divisions in the following order:

1. Women’s Doubles
2. Women’s Individuals
3. Mixed Doubles
4. Men’s Doubles
5. Men’s Individuals

Actual start times will be emailed to each participant 1 week prior to the race.

Each athlete or doubles team will complete the following sequence in this exact order:

1. 500 m Run
2. 500 m SkiErg
3. 500 m Run
4. 25 m Sled Push (Men and Mixed Doubles: 335 lbs, Women: 225 lbs)
5. 500 m Run
6. 60 total feet Sled Pull (Men and Mixed Doubles: 225 lbs, Women: 175 lbs)
7. 500 m Run
8. 40 m Burpee Broad Jumps
9. 500 m Run
10. 500 m Row
11. 500 m Run
12. 100 m Farmers Carry (Men and Mixed Doubles: 2x53 lbs, Women: 2x35lbs)
13. 500 m Run
14. 40 m Sandbag Lunges (Men and Mixed Doubles: 40 lbs, Women: 20 lbs)
15. 500 m Run
16. 50 x Wall Balls (Men and Mixed Doubles: 14 lbs, Women: 10 lbs)

Once the final wall ball is completed, your Half Rox is officially finished. Collapse theatrically, smile for the camera and begin telling everyone that it “wasn’t that bad.”

Individual athletes complete every run and every workout station themselves.

Both partners must complete every 500-meter run together.

Workout station repetitions or distances may be divided between partners in any manner. One partner works at a time unless instructed otherwise by event staff.

Partners may switch as often as needed during the SkiErg, row, sleds, burpee broad jumps, farmers carry, lunges and wall balls.

Each partner must register for the event. There is a field in the registration to list the name of your partner.
